Savory Crepes for Us Please!

I accompanied SW for some errands at Raffles City this morning and we did brunch before the place was swamped with office lunch crowd. *.*

We were in the mood for savory crepes at Canele. :)

I zoomed in straight away on the Paris On A Sunny Day Crepe (Paris ham with emmental cheese, sunny side-up and salad. :)

SW went healthy with mushroom and leeks crepe. :)

Frasier cake for me and NY cheesecake for SW. :)

We finished our Wednesday brunch with Fields of Gold (SW) and ice chocolate (mine). ;)

Cycling with Megumi-Chan

Megumi-chan is our new cycling buddy! It's a shame she didn't experience the local culture much even though she's been here 1.5 years. *.* This will change as she now knows us! Lol! :))) Her first cycling trip with us is to Punggol Waterway Park. ;)

We took Megumi to Chomp Chomp for local fare. It's a waiting game. We waited for a table, we waited for the food. The place was packed on a Sunday nite.

Lin & I had apple & orange juice while Megumi-chan tried sugar cane juice with lemon. :)

Fried Hokkien mee & fried carrot cake

Satays & chicken wings

Bbq stingray

We left some tummy room for ice cream at Udders. :)

Megumi-chan savouring her rum rum raisins ice cream. :)

I opted for Lychee Martini sorbet as I had chocolate ice cream at Cold Stone Creamery in the afternoon. :)

Time to call it a day. I'm getting sleepy...

Sunday Goodness with Yahui

Yahui joined mom, Beanie, Lin, Lidia & I for lunch at Sally Roast Meat Rice today. Our family frequent this particular stall as we like the roasted duck and char siew v much! :) And we heart the preserved veg & duck bone soup too! :D

The 3 of us headed to Cold Stone Creamery for slow afternoon tea. I was actually pretty happy we managed to get a table by the window as the seats were cushy couches. :) We chatted about everything under the sun. :) Awesome cousin bonding eh? :D

Sat Dinner at Sarang

Finally met up with Selin, Le Le & Tricia for dinner. It's our first meeting with Tricia since her pregnancy! *.* 8 more weeks for her before the baby pops! :D

Dinner was at Sarang as we have not been there yet.

I must say they have the worst variety of side dishes for a Korean restaurant. Only 2 items???

We had three appetisers:

Yin Yang Pancakes - panfried kimchi & scallion pancakes - pretty good :)

Sarang Japchae and Gyeran Jjim (steamed eggs cooked in traditional Korean stone pot)

One stew:

Piggy Jumps Over the Well (pork belly with veg served in a kimchi hotpot)

One main: Yangnyeom chikin (deep fried chicken tossed in sweet & sour sauce)

One D.I.Y BBQ: Samgyeopsal (Pork Belly Slices - the pork slices were a little tough)

One dessert: Pappa pancakes (cinnamon pancakes) - I actually like it quite a lot ;)

And for drinks, we had yuja cha :)

Largest Number of Cycling Companions So Far :)

This is by far the largest number of cycling companions Lin & I have since we started cycling. :) The more the merrier! :D

Koka was thrilled with her new friends! ;)

Try spotting them! Lol! :)))

Koka wanna make sure she leaves a deep first impression....Koka & I before our fall. And me after the fall.

Koka tried to get out of the basket!!! In my panic, I tried reining her in but we flew off the bike instead. *.* I landed on all fours (bleeding knees & palms), yet still scrambling for the DOG to check if she's alright!!! Urggghh...Thank goodness we were in a big group and everyone came to our aid. :)

Lunch was at Popeyes! :D

We put back whatever calories we lost. :)))

I Love DriveThru McDonalds!

I love DriveThru McDonalds. :) When I'm tired after a day's work or running errands, I just have to drive through McDonalds and get whatever I wanna eat. It's easy peasy. Except sometimes there's a shortage of staff and my choc sundae becomes choc milk...*.*

After driving through McDonalds this evening, Lin and I decided to give Koka a McDonalds' b'day party next week. :))) She'll be 5 soon! :D

With a Pinch of Salt Express Cafe

It wasn't our intention to lunch here, A bad traffic jam caused us to make a detour and ended up in Toa Payoh. So Mom and I checked out With a Pinch of Salt Express Cafe.

The quality of the food is reasonable given the price. But I wouldn't purposely make a trip there. :)

We had mushroom soup, cheesy fries, tom yum seafood pasta and grilled chicken chop.

Coffee, Tea & Toast at Ya Kun

We were running errands and getting my spare spectacles made at Better Vision, at the airport last nite. :) I knew my eyesight deteriorated as I'm having troubling focusing on objects in the camera's viewfinder. :( These days, I'm using SONY Nex F3 simply cos of the large viewing panel and it's light compared to my elehany gadget. Anyway the night was still early and we did coffee, tea and toast at Ya Kun. It's been a long long time since we last patronized any Ya Kun chains. :)

Nostalgic posters?

Lin & Beanie had the classic combination of kaya (coconut and pandan jam) toast and soft boiled eggs. I hate soft boiled eggs. *.*

Mom and I had this! Thick slab of butter in toast? ;)

Nah...it's durian ice cream toast! :D

Sweet Tuesday nite. :)
