Last Day of November :)

How did you spend your last day of November? :) Lin and I met up with Wendy for dinner near her workplace. :) She was "invisible" for a month??? Perhaps it's almost 8pm, the queue at Itacho Sushi Changi Airport T3 wasn't that long.

The selection for the 3 of us:

Wendy finished her meal off with mini eel rice while we finished ours with a bowl of beef udon. :) A simple Friday can be sooooo good! :)

Fit for a Princess :)

It's difficult to buy pressies for kids nowadays. They have almost everything! The chances of them having similar stuff such as toys, books, dvds and clothes are high. I pondered for a while and came up with this "brilliant" idea of getting Yakults for Clara babe & her friends. This carton of Yakults were erm.... HEAVY! *.* Anyway the kids love them. So it's worth our effort. :)

Amy (Clara's mommy & our ex-neighbour) & Cindy (Clara's godmom) created a fabulous candy buffet table any kid would be spoilt for choice! :D

Disney princesses is an "IN" thing for little girls. :)))

Even the b'day cake was princessy. :))) Clara is 4! :D

The kids were kept entertained with a rather engaging magic show and balloon sculpting.

Bryden & Clara :)

The adults simply savour their afternoon tea... :)

On a side note, I couldn't help but stopped my car to take a pic of these lovely trees while driving to Clara's b'day party. :)

A Night in "Hong Kong"

This weekend, we headed to "Hong Kong" for a quick getaway! :)))

Oh well, it's actually a movie nite & sleepover at Ann's place. :) Popcorns, prawn crackers, chips, coke & ice cream. All needed for a a perfect staycation. ;)

And DIY mask treatments! Women can be such contradictory beings. We wanna pamper our skin but late nite's not helping. Then again, doing something is better than not doing anything! :)))

We wanna have an ultra shiok dinner but feel really guilty there after and yet can't bring ourselves to move but plonk infront of the google box. :)

Our dinner: fried Hokkien mee, fishballs soup, fried carrot cake,

 popiah, chicken wings, stingray,

tau suah and ice longans :)

Tina was the first to be knocked out...our bedtime was approx 4.35am... :)))

Round two began at 11.00am with brunch: braised duck and sliced fish noodles. :)

We ended our "Hong Kong" trip at 2.00pm. Time to check out! :D

Tuesday Dinner's at Two Chefs

Tonite's dinner's at Two Chefs Eating Place with Ling Lee and her two friends, Gina & Jolene. :) It's Lin and my maiden visit here. :))) The place reminded us a little of Hong Kong's dai pai dong. :) As such I actually had heighten expectation of the food...

Despite the ladies's raving recommendations to try the cold cockles, Lin and I gave it a miss. :)

I'm not into prawn paste chicken but I did enjoy the tender pork ribs coated with milk powder. :) This would make a perfect dish for Christmas as it resembles snow covered grounds.

Cholestrol high 3 egged veg is always welcomed. :))) The tofu with enoki and minced pork was average.

The dinner was completed with fried rice and peppery radish soup.

Celebrating Beanie's Birthday at Pizzeria Mozza!

Beanie is a year older! :) And we celebrated his big day at Pizzeria Mozza! :D

We love the Meatballs al forno and Calamari al forno with fagioli & oregano. :) Thumbs up for both dishes.

The Wednesday's special, Pesce al Forno was just as delactable. It's basically baked threadfin with red leaf lettuce and lemon.

Egg, bacon, Yukon gold potato & Bcippolini onions...what's not to like about this combi??? :)

Prosciutto di Parma, rucola, tomato & mozzarella

I guess we can skip the desserts here...

Caramel, espresso and peanut butter gelato sandwich, chocolate malt gelato and Canoli di Ricott

The other stuff we had...

Sparkling water, latte & chips in a bag. :)

Blessed birthday Dad! :)

Syunsui Soba Buckwheat Noodles

This Syunsui's cha soba is almost forgotten by us...it actually expired 2 weeks ago??? Lin bought it during her last business retreat to Nagano. Nagano is best known for its soba.

Anyway I decided to cook it for lunch as it looked ok still... :) I can't remember when's the last time I cooked my own lunch. :)))

I did a Mori soba, which is the most basic chilled soba noodles, for Lin & myself. Oh and I added "lava" hard boiled eggs to each bowl. :)

Slurrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrp...

Braised Porky Feast :)

A television program on braised pork dishes got Lin and me craving for some of these sinful, flavourful braised pork bellies! :D

So we had them tonight!!! :)

These mean pork bellies go well with buns and noodles. :)))

Time to walk off the fats... :)))

Happy Friday!
