Day 3: Savoring Our Last Day in Tokyo ;)

Today is our last day in Tokyo. To max out our day, we woke up early to a simple breakfast fare at Ueshima Coffee Shop. :) It's conveniently located opposite Grand Hyatt.

Hello ice lemon tea, we haven't seen you in a while. :)

Hahaahhaa it's egg mayo ham sandwiches for us again. Boring but who cares... ;)

Lin's get-out-of-bed look. :)))

Hands up for melted slab of butter on thick toast! :D Anytime for me. :)

I can't remember eating that egg???

We did shared an egg. :)))

I'm not a Snoopy fan but this is just too cute not to share. :) We are on our way for some business errands and there's no pic for the next two hours till lunch. :)

Back at Roppongi area and somehow for this trip, I had craving for Japanese Italian or Japanese French cuisine. :))) Read somewhere about Aria being popular amongts OL and we checked the place out. :)

Reviews said to avoid the lunch crowd and so we did. :))) We were the first two customers. :)))

Aria is pretty hidden but it's not difficult to locate with Google Map. ;) There's bar counter seats for lone diners.

The set lunch is so value for money at 980 yen and it consisted of a pasta and a drink. We topped up another 220 yen for the appetizer. :)

Simple appetizer but done so well, especially the egg.

There are 4 pasta base: oil, tomato, cream & other. We opted for tomato and cream base pasta. Both were yum... :D These handmade pasta were thick & chewy.

Completing our set lunch with tea, forgoing desserts for more treats later in the day. :)

I was hoping to spend a slow & leisure afternoon at Omotesando but we didn't seem to have the luxury of time this trip again. :)))

I would like to explore each store dotted along the side streets. :)

Lin & I made a short visit to Aoyama Flower Market to see if we are able to score any gorgeous blooms. But nothing caught our fancy. :)

Snapping away to make our walk here more worth it. :)))

Not my first choice for afternoon tea but I'm happy to check L'occitane cafe out. :) It overlooks the famous Shibuya crossing. :)

I was a little disappointed we weren't seated by the window initially as they were either occupied or reserved. The highlight of having afternoon tea here beside it being L'occitane, is it overlooks Shibuya crossing. As soon as a table is available, I quickly requested for a change. :))) Just in time before our food & drinks were served. ;)

Nobody takes French onion soup for afternoon tea...but us! :)))

We tried the sampling cake platter too. Nothing over the top we would say. :)

Sipping tea and watching the world go by... :)

Lin & I just needed to have a shabu shabu before leaving Tokyo. We didn't want to travel too far from Grand Hyatt and Yasaiya mei was the place to go to for this last meal before heading to Haneda airport.

Yasaiya mei specializes in healthy vegetable shabu shabu. But fret not, they do have some meat offerings, albeit the variety is limited. We are awed by the vegetable offerings and some are so rare. :O

Admit it. Who wouldn't want to be as youthful for as long as possible? We chose herbal soup cos it was supposed to be good for anti-aging? :)))

We are happy with our healthy selection. :)

Our starters as we waited for our shabu shabu to be ready. :)

Full of anticipation. :)))

The first sip :)

Hello pork belly & beef slices. :)

Completing our meal with rice noodles

Slurping down these smooth rice noodles, marking the end of my 3 days 2 nites in Tokyo. Till the next visit... :)
