Thank God for the shower. It helped clear the haze and made the evening less hazy & more breezy for a "Thank You" bbq. ^.^ Wendy, Tina & Edwin had been such a tremendous help during Angie & CK's wedding. Without them, Lin & I would not have managed to decorate the venue so beautifully. :)
Beanie bought really huge & sweet crabs & prawns for our bbq. :) It was another high cholestrol night for us!!! : O But even Koka was unable to resist such great spread. ;)
Pics of us savoring the goodness.... ^.^ Reminded us of the 90 minutes crabby feast we had in Hokkaido. Lol!
We were so stuffed just eating the crabs & prawns. The juicy pears were perfect thirst quencher & also aided our digestion. :)
We always have tummy space for something sweet. ^.* Meiji green tea ice cream made a sweet sweet finale. :D

Tiffin Club
Finally met Donovan & company for dinner last night. ^.^ Dining veue was Tiffin Club. I checked out their website earlier in the day and was pretty excited about visiting the place. Plus I like the nostalgic sounding name "Tiffin". ;) H/r trying to find the place was kind of a put off. *.* We circled around the area at least 3 times and hit the ERP gantry at least twice before we found the place. :(
Tiffin Club occupies a charming restored shophouse, slightly off Chinatown. It has a pleasant decor with impressive wine chiller. Tiffin Club serves contemporary Southeast Asian cuisine.
The tapas were delightful. :) The laksa crouquettes were gone before I could snap any pics??? The cheeseburgers were yum. The oishi cripsy chicken made such easy & tasty finger food, it's difficult to stop. I didn't try the chilli crab toasties, so can't comment much about them. Gotta ask Sam! Anyway I much prefer the tapas over the main...
Donovan & Sam had duck redang, Shir Ee, Sophie, Lin & I had chilli crab linguine (I had imagined a crab pincer on top a bed of linguine), Victoria had roasted pepper ravoli while Ria being a little creative, requested something off the menu, chicken linguine. I didn't managed to capture the roasted pepper ravoli & chicken linguine. I didn't want to hold Vic back from her 1st meal of the day. :) As for Ria, she isn't use to me snapping pics of food yet! Lol! :)))
For desserts, we shared a raspberry apple crumble with golden crusted marshmallows, macadamian chocolate truffle cake and a dark chocolate and pear tart with vanilla ice cream. I wasn't wow by any of the dessert. : I

SPRUCE It Up!
It's been a while since we last had brunch with Gwendel. :) As we were gonna tour Ros's new office at Phoenix Park, we decided to dine at SPRUCE. It's our first visit there, so naturally I've got to blog a little about it. :)))
We like the laid back setting. It was a pretty warm Saturday and so we chose to dine indoor.
The food servings at SPRUCE are quite large, so if you're conscious of weighty issues, it's good to share. ^.* We had spinach & bacon salad to start our hearty meal. :D Despite its name, there were other stuff in the salad; such as roasted chicken, red apples, manchego cheese, walnuts & erm...rasins (Lin & I hate rasins). Overall the salad was good. :)
For the mains, we had SPRUCE Signature Steak & Egg Benny. Somehow we felt the black pepper overpowered the Hollandaise. It was more like eating a steak burger. I still prefer the good old Hollandaise sauce without black pepper. ;)
We had to end our brunch on a sweet sweet note. So it was Spruce Sundae with Valrhona fudge sauce and brownie bits. The sundae consisted of a scoop of vanilla ice cream & a berry flavoured sorbet. All I can say for this is thumbs up for the walnuts that came with the sundae! :))) We were not comfy with their perculiar choice of plates though. Oriental side plates popped up occassionally. One can't help but wonder if they have run out of dishes... *.*

Roller Coaster October
October, October, October...Been out of action for the 1st half of October. Experienced the passing of a dear dear friend & less than 24 hours after the final send off, gotta prepare the wedding of a childhood friend. Funeral & wedding all in a week. Been sleeping early these nights. The emotion swings can be a little draining. And I trimmed my pinkie instead of the leaf on Monday. : I Fortunately I didn't need a stitch but a jab & antibotics. Phew! Typing with an injured Ms. Pinkie is kind of inconvenient. The doc gave her a really nice & huge wrap??? Reminded me of pocky sticks, but with thicker coat of fillings.
Finally managed to take a breather today. :) Stole some time to catch two episodes of drama & indulged in some fattening junk! :) Here's my lunch from MOS Burger today - Kakiage rice burger (my usual's Yakiniku rice burger, but I feel like having something different for a change), fries & Minestrone soup. I think I prefer Yakiniku rice burger as there's lettuce in it. The lettuce gave the rice burger extra crunch & freshness. I'm not complaining about the 3/4 packed fries; it made me less guilty. ;) It's great there're more MOS outlets now, making packed lunches so much more convenient. ^.^
