14 Hours in Singapore

If you've 14 hours in Singapore, what will you do? We took Amber (Chun Chun) on an eat, shop, eat, shop spree around town! :)

9.00am: Breakfast at Cova at Paragon

We were delighted with the food. Amber ordered poached eggs with Hollandise sauce which she claimed was very well done compared to those she had back home in Taiwan. :) She truly enjoyed it. :D I was happy she cleared the plate up heartily. ^.*

I ordered for myself a light breakfast set which consisted of fresh fruit juice of my choice (I chose green apples), soft & fluffy croissant, two slices of toast with Cova's jams & butter & a wow wow fruit tart. :D

And so cheers to a fabulous Friday morning! :D

11.00am: Shopping at ION

Amber found the perfect men's shirt for herself at Uniqlo. ^.* It's amazing how she's able to transform the shirt to a dress any lady would fall in love with! :D

12.30pm: Lunch at Ayam Penyet Ria at Lucky Plaza

We forgot we have taken Amber here during her last visit. :))) Amber & I thought we wouldn't be able to finish our lunch, but we cleared everything???

2.00pm: Shopping at Wisma

3.30pm: Shopping at Plaza Singapura

Amber needed to get some scrapbooking tools. I brought her to Made with Love & Paper Paper Market. She didn't get anything but I ended up with more fanciful papers! :)))

4.30pm: Shopping at MBS & sweet treats at DARCIS Jean-Philippe

We dropped our car at the valet & stepped into an ultra big lobby with lots & lots of people. Not impressed. Somehow the place lacked character.

Window shop a little & pampered ourselves with gelato & macarons from DARCIS Jean-Philippe. Amber had a coffee-choc gelato while I went for the dark choc ones. They were rich & ain't too sweet. Every bite was refreshing. :D We kept the macarons for later in the nite as we needed to save some space for a crabby feast. :)

6.30pm: Crabby feast at Melben Seafood at Ang Mo Kio

The queue was long... But we could wait. :) We waited 20-30 mins for a table and another 30 - 45 mins for the food.

We had a crab each. Lin ordered 3 crabs in 3 different flavours: crab bee hoon soup, creamy butter crab & black pepper crab. They were all so good we couldn't decide which one we prefer. :D

On another note: how do you normally consume your crabs? :) Amber removes all the flesh from the crabs before savoring them while Lin & I eat as we work our way through the crabs.

Fingers licking good! :D

9.30pm: Chilling out at Lantern, Fullerton Bay Hotel

Lantern at Fullerton Bay Hotel makes a splendid place to unwind after a long day. We have been out & about for approx 12 hours now...

We much prefer Fullerton Bay Hotel over MBS. It's much smaller but has a richer heritage and character which speaks volume. Priceless. *.*

11.30pm: Head home to our respective comfy beds...

We're out officially for 14 hours. Sleepy bugs start creeping in...

Drove Amber home, drove ourselves home...nite nite Singapore... zzz
