Today's lunch venue has gotta be a very nostalgic one. :))) Sheau Wen, Lin & I traveled backed to the 1930s for lunch... :)
I was googling for a nice bistro/cafe around KWS where Sheau Wen was scheduled to have her physiotherapy this afternoon. There must be more to this area for our dear friend than physiotherapy! I'm glad I found a few spots we could try! Yeah! :D
My Garmin navigator took us to the other side of Jalan Bersar. Humph...I got off my car, left Lin & Sheau Wen in it, and went searching for Kam Leng Hotel where Suprette was located. It's on the right side of Jalan Bersar! Not left! :)))
Suprette serves American inspired food. That explains the serving size... *.*
Sheau Wen had peppermint tea to go with her Cheese on Toast. Lin & I had the Suprette Burger & coke. :) We can skip burgers for MONTHS now! Totally overwhelmed.

Tina's the b'day girl! We celebrated a day earlier as she had to fly off to Changmai for biz trip on Sunday. Somehow her name's Tuna on the b'day cake??? :)))

I was secretly hoping & plotting we would celebrate her b'day at some Korean restaurant but the b'day girl chose Japanese... And so Japanese cuisine it was, at Itacho sushi. :)))

It wasn't a melodious Sat but we enjoyed watching Ivan playing on a charming, powder blue and woody baby grand piano. :) His dad picked up violin for a while but gave up. Will he be more musically inclined than his dad? Perhaps. :)
Ivan's definition of fun is very simple. :) Dumping coloured balls into a bright purple octopus with multi-coloured shoes is fun. Simply pushing a red truck around is fun too! :D
It's awesome this buddy has a soft spot for little animals. :) He stroked & kissed the toy rabbit very, very gently. :)))
Our sat afternoon is further sweeten by desserts from BlackBall. :) Lin & I love the 3Q Cranberry & Lemon Tea with black pearls while Adelene is able to down 2 tubs of BlackBall Signature (melted grass jelly with YamQ, Golden Sweet Potato, yam balls, sweet potato balls, red beans & pearls) on her own! :)))

Despite knowing the importance of breakfast, I do not take mine regularly. :) I had mine today though, cos Wendy wanted to do brunch at Wild Honey. :)))
We started our meal with a refreshing Queen Bee (passion fruit juice, elderflower & honey) & Wild Forest Tea. :)
The serving size of the breakfast resembles to those in SF...huge.
It's impossible to resist Egg Benedict, known as European on Wild Honey's menu. :)))
For the full works, go for the English Breakfast! :))) I love the brioche & managed to finish two slices...:) Totally stuffed...

Lin and I worked over Sunday just so we could spend some time with Ivan at ION today. :) He couldn't sit still! :)))
After checking out Crate & Barrel, Proof Living, Red Valentino & Giuseppe Zanotti, we did tea at TWG. :)

Lin & I couldn't resist buying this Ikea's breakfast set for Ivan! :) We were thrilled by the streaky bacon & sunny side-up. Alas, godson wasn't fascinated at all... *.*
That aside, we had fun trying out four types of laksa from Laksania, which cousin packed home for Sat brunch. Each of us has our obvious fav:

Adelene - Penang laksa
Lin - Kelantan laksa
Li - Singapore laksa
Godson can't walk without us supporting him but that doesn't deter him from climbing the stairs! :D

Yayi's back from Hamburg for a three-weeks vacation and we did a family dinner at Goldplus, a zi char stall. His absence for a year or so affected the senior folks and all attention was on him this evening. Lin & I didn't bother asking how he was or what he had been doing because he would have repeated his stories umpteen times. My cousin needs a voice recorder... :)

How do you spice up a birthday celebration? :) We did it at Mai Thai Restaurant...less than 10 mins drive from home. ;)

Green Curry Chicken (my fav), Mai Thai Beef Panaeng and Grilled Pork
Pineapple Rice, Pad Thai
Basil Tofu, Boiled Veg (with dip that rendered Lin & big aunt speechless & mom tearing) and Mango Sticky Rice
Our palettes & lips were exploding by the end of the dinner...
Something chilled & sweet would be greatly appreciated...and we hopped next door to get an Awfully Chocolate cake for Big aunt. ;)
Big aunty has been showering Lin & I with love & support from as young as we can remember. And she dotes on Koka too! Praise God for this blessings. :)
Koka should have kissed the b'day gal instead! :)))
