Day 1: Oyakodon at Tamahide :)
Tamahide is an extremely old establishment. It has been serving oyakodon (Japanese chicken & egg rice bowl) since 1760...i.e. 253 years! Its ultra long history in itself is a big selling point. *.*
Gotta try Tamahide's oyakodon. We joined the queue. ;)
The queuing continued indoors...without our shoes. :) Our stomachs were rumbling and the aroma of the simmering dish didn't help. Couldn't wait to eat! Humph...
The restaurant was full and we had to share a table with two friendly Japanese. :)
Unveiling the famous Tamahide's Oyakodon. :)
Goodness me! This is possibly the best oyakodon we have eaten so far! :O The chicken was extremely tender and the eggs and flavorful sauce infused together beautifully. :)
