Wudaoying Hutong Isn't Round??? :)))
I had never thought of coming to Beijing again. :) But because Francoise Weeks & Jo Travis were in town, I needed to be here too! :))) Class doesn't start till Monday, so we have time to do some sightseeing. Lin doesn't want to see the Great Wall of China so...here we were at Wudaoying Hutong. I had always imagine Hutongs to be round? But they are simply alleys formed by lines of traditional courtyard houses.
This dog is well loved. :)))
Retail therapy...
I love the green creepers. :)
These caught my attention! :D
Can we bring this bench home? :)
Ok, chipmunks let's go home. :)))
I wish our stores have some huge windows and natural light. :)
First purchase! :D
Thank God for such beautiful blue sky in Beijing, a respite from hazy Singapore. :)
A quaint mom & pop store. :)
Time for lunch at Soup Kitchen. I love this petite restaurant. :)
The maximum seating capacity is only 10. So come early to avoid disappointment. :) I would love to sit by the window but Lin said it was too hot.
I can't wait to eat!
Fluffy staples :)
Comforting beef broth with peppercorn.
Tomato braised pork ribs. I know we aren't supposed to eat tomatoes but...
Can't say no to chicken wings. :)
Extremely contented with this simple fare. :)
A floral shop within a hutong. :)
Pumpkin in the air. :)
One of the many pretty cafes in the hutong.
Lin loves panda. :)
Such a luxury to do nothing. :) Chilling at Daily Routine and watch the crowd goes by. :)
Ice lemon tea, not quite the way we like it. *.*
Couldn't help indulging in ice cream. :) Not the best...but I'm a deprived child. :)))
It's good to slow down our pace at times. :) We should try to do this more often. :)
Off to our next destination. :)
