Where Are We Going Sis? (姐姐去哪?): Day 1 - Taipei

Where are we going sis? This time we are off to Hohhot, Inner Mongolia. I’m excited to see the desert & grassland! :)

There isn’ t a direct flight from Singapore to Hohhot. Our travel itinerary became as such:

Singapore -> Taipei (on Singapore Airlines)

Taipei -> Hohhot (on Eva Air)

Hohhot -> Taipei (on Eva Air)

Taipei -> Singapore (on Singapore Airlines)

Here we are in Taipei. :) As we had an early morning flight  to catch, we stayed at Novotel Taipei Taoyan Airport Hotel.  Elaine picked us from the airport as she said no taxi would take us cos the drive to Novotel is only 3 mins.

Dinner was at 砖窑鸡.  Erm…we ordered in excess… *.* 

Chickens are roasted over earthen kiln with these logs. 

And what you get is this juicy, succulent chickens.

It goes well with 鸡油饭 (rice drizzled with chicken oil).

A trip to Taipei seems incomplete without a visit to the nite market. :)

And we finally discovered our fav street snack. :) It’s boring looking but it tasted fabulous! Sweet things make me happy. :D

Too cute not to purchase. :)))
