Day 3: Now, That's One Brilliant Cava :)
A cup of coffee in the morning made me nausea all day long. *.* Regret taking it. So much so I didn't feel like doing lunch. Our guide took us to Fonda Neus for a modest and traditional Catalan cuisine. The owner is a jolly old uncle with lots of tales to share. :)
Somehow my water consumption is minimum when we are here. I wasn't sure about the availability of restrooms and their condition. :))) So when we are at a cafe, I drink lots. :)))
Mom ordered a cheesy dish. :)
Cod balls for Beanie. :)
BBQ veal for Lin :)
This stewed veal with tomato sauce is a Spanish take on Hainanese pork chop? :)))
Chocolate banana can't go wrong. It's a simple and comforting dessert. :) I'm just thinking if there's a fancier way to present it. :)))
I'm not into wobbly dessert....so this pudding for Lin. :)))
Oranges and kiwis for mom & Beanie. :D
And a cuppa before our cava tour. :)))
Codorniu is the world's oldest producer of sparkling wine, also known as cava. Our day trip consisted of an exciting journey to this beautiful winery that is more than 450 years old. :)
There was an audiovisual, followed by Art Nouveau tour.
Our animated guide :)
We zipped through the underground cellar in a tram too. :) Think amusement rides in theme parks. :)))
What's a trip to the winery without some cava tasting. :))) That's the highlight isn't it? :D
We tasted and we bought. :)))

Yippee! Homecooked food! I'm so glad we brought along Grandmom's chicken spices. :) It's not Spanish food aren't nice, it's just doesn't suit my palate. :D
Mikan jelly to close the day. :) Goodnite Spain.
