Day 8: One & Only Free Day in London :)

It's a free and easy day for us today! :D The last few days have been really tiring and so we are going to go slow for the day. :) We visited Westminster Abbey. Photography isn't allowed in the Abbey, which is good in a way as one will just focus on appreciating the architecture and works in one of the world's greatest churches.

Since we can't take any pics inside, we took pics outside. :)

It's the spring bank holiday and there's a marathon taking place. :)

On our way to lunch, we managed to catch a glimpse of the changing of guards ceremony. Sometimes having a fluid itinerary isn't all that bad eh? :))) When I'm travelling with Lin, everything has to be carefully and painstakingly planned. The way I'm travelling now is a no no for her. Lol! 

One is never too senior to embrace selfie or wefie. :D How blessed is it to be able to travel with your beloved and capturing every moment. :D

We are at Mamie's for lunch. :) The place is small even though it spans two floors. Reservation is recommended. ;)

We waited incredulously long for the crepes, Mamie's gave us a 50% off our total bill.....

We never miss any opportunity to shop. :) 

There's always room for some sweet indulgence. ;) Venchi's queue went all the way out of its store! So we joined the queue.

I accompanied Shakira to the Wallace Collection while Catherine has her own plans. :D

We only managed to cover 1/4 of Wallace Collection. It didn't daunt on us the place was big earlier on as it looked small from the outside. *.*  The place closes at 5pm by the way. 

Next stop for us is Fortnum & Mason. It's a great place to pick up some treats. :) The window displays at F&M are beautiful. :)

For a panoramic view of London city, we did dinner at The Shard. :D 

We kickstart with some bubbly & red. :) It's amazing our friendship blossomed from a London trip. :)))

 

I couldn't comment about the food as I was mesmerised by the  nite view and too engrossed in chatting. :)))

Not sure if we are well rested but we definitely need to be ready for a long day tomorrow! :)
