Robatayaki is a traditional barbecue, cooked in the presence of customers. The chefs sits on a deck surrounded by their carefully selected ingredients of the day. The customers sit around the counter. Placing an order here is spontaneous. Customers need to get the chefs' attention & point to what they feel like eating. The chef will scoop up the desired ingredient on a wooden paddle, cook it & serve the dish to the customers on the same wooden paddle. The chefs & their crew were boisterous. I'm loving it. :)
I think we need to recharge...everyone seemed tired after a day of walking. :)))
This is not for us. :)))

Mushrooms, grilled to perfection. :)
Grilled green peppers with lemon :)
Mr Chef scooping out our scallops! :)
And here, before us...fresh & sweet scallops... :)
Besides being able to cook well, entertain the customers, the chefs need to have superb memory. They never mix up the customers' orders. :)
Our grilled fish. :) The chef is able to debone for you upon request. :)
I'm being too fishy today. :)))
We love our prawns! :D

Thumbs up for sweet potato :)
Grilled mocha with seaweed. :) It's very addictive. :)
Glutinous riceballs to end our dinner. :)
The crew surprised mom with a birthday cake! :) We were caught by surprise too! :))) I was too stunned and didn't capture the moment the chef presented the birthday cake on the iconic wooden paddle. :(((
It's the strawberry season. :)
We bought mom a strawberry cake too. Two cakes in one nite! :O
