Day 3: Kyoto, Here We Come! :)

This morning we are taking the Shinkansen to Kyoto. :) Our maiden ride. :)

Sometimes I wish we could sleep in a little longer, but Lin's morning call is early everyday. :(

I love sandwiches from conbini. :) My fav combi has to be katsu sandwiches with eggs. :D

The Shinkansen ride was a breeze. About 2.5hr & we munched all the way.

We cabbed to Noku Kyoto from Kyoto Station. We had wanted to stay in Hoshinoya Ryokan but it was fully booked. :( 

"Noku is located adjacent to the Imperial palace and right in the heart of 1,000 years of Japanese history". So we checked it out. :)))

There are only 81 rooms at Noku. We are "lucky" to get 2 rooms huh? :))) Each room is furnished with different art pieces, reflecting the elements of Kyoto. :) 

Noku isn't too bad. Only grouses we have...the rooms have no aircon, only heater. If the room gets too warm, we had to switch off the heater. But...we can't breathe. : O
