We exited from Jin Ji Ling and made a slight turn into the yellow sea from across where we were earlier on. :)
Gorgeous! :D
We hopped onto a buffalo cart which took us to the center of the yellow sea. :D
Stalls selling local fare & produce lined the pathway. :)
Game to try? Well we didn't as we weren't sure if our tummies could take it. *.*
Floral headpieces are available everywhere. Only RMB5 for one. :)
The season of canola is also prime time for beekeeping and honey processing. Beekeepers set up base in tents amongst the canola fields every spring to keep the bees and harvest their honey - the bees are attracted to the refreshing smell of blooming canola and feed on them.
No idea why we didn't buy any honey home. : (
Ann, Tina, Lin & I were awed by the glorious yellow sea. :O
The canola field stretched as far as our eyes could see. Nothing beats seeing it yourself! :D
We helped Ann create the cover for her 1st music album. ;) Likey? It's one of our fav pics for this trip!
Lin could barely open her eyes due to the sun rays! :)
Tina :)
Lin read reports which said the growth of canola would be affected by drought and they were only the height of our knees! But hey hey, God is good! By the time we visited the place, the flowers had grown to about our height! :D
Though the floral headpieces were pretty, they were magnets for bees! :O The constant buzzing around the ear's ain't fun & we were scared of being stung by them. So we left them by the railings on the roadside before boarding our car.
Time to rest after a morning swim in the yellow sea! :) And more importantly we needed to go back to the hotel for toilet break. ;)
