Our route:
Singapore > Kunming > Luoping > Kunming > Dali > Lijiang > Kunming > Singapore
The journey took approximately 4 hours, depending on traffic conditions. Mr Wang suggested we watch Yunnan Impression Show which starts at 8.30pm. We might not be able to do dinner if we arrive late in Kunming. *.*
Thank God, the traffic wasn't to heavy and we managed to arrive in Kunming at 7.00pm. Enough time for us to do a proper dinner at Fu Zhao Luo Qi Guo Ji Fan Dian (福照楼汽锅鸡饭店)before the show starts!.Yippee!!!
The restaurant is famous for its chicken soup (气锅鸡). :) Though it's packed richly with chicken flavour, it was way too oily for us. Tina spent a lot of effort removing the layer of oil.
We enjoyed the succulent roasted pork that was accompanied with a spicy & tangy dipping sauce. :)
The other dishes we ordered were stir-fried Kunming's mushrooms & braised cabbage with Yunnan ham. I don't like the mushrooms as they tasted synthetic. The braised cabbage with Yunnan ham went well with our rice. :)
For carbs, we had a pot of rice with peas, chinese sausages & Yunnan ham. This was only average.
There were a few hit & misses at Fu Zhao Luo Qi Guo Ji Fan Dian (福照楼汽锅鸡饭店). Nevertheless we were happy to chill in a rather nice restaurant after a 4 hours car journey.
Oh I needed to add -we weren't sure if we get to do dinner and so Lin prepared egg mayo for tea during the journey back to Kunming. :) Super nanny eh? ;)
