If you visit the flower markets at Joan Road lately, you will notice there are alot of potted kumquats for sale. Of course, the lunar new year is less than a week away! :D
I had always thought kumquats are grown in pots until my Vietnamese gf, Hoa brought me and a few other friends to a kumquat farm in Hanoi... :)
Now I know. ;)
I was on skype with a Vietnamese gf, Hoa last night and I told her I'll post something about Vietnam on my blog soon...So what better day than today? ;) Hoa introduced Quan An Ngon to us while we were in Hanoi. :) It's similiar to Food Republic at Wisma Atria, but with better ambience and waiters/waitresses to serve you. Diners are spoilt for choices. And most importantly, the food is simply delicious. :)
I like how we were savouring our food under the canopy. :)
Fried prawn crackers straight from the wok! ;)
Tender & juicy meaty cubes...can't remember if they were beef or pork...but they were yummy! :)
This tasted a little like Cheong Fun. :)
Squidssss....
Meaty dish & rice :)
And ending our meals with refreshing and pretty Chendol looking desserts. :)
Thumbs up! ;)
