Day 1: Autumn with Wendy & Lin :)

Despite reminding ourselves not to take any red eye flight, we were on it again. :))) We arrived in Haneda Airport at 6am...we definitely needed some perk-me-up.

It was to the car rental company to pick up our car after breakfast, officially starting our momijigari vacay to Nikko. The drive was approximately 3 hours. The timing was perfect and we arrived on time for traditional soba lunch at Santate Soba Nagahataan.

Santate Soba Nagahataan is one of the most famous soba restaurants in Nikko. This place serves nothing but buckwheat soba, so if you are one who loves variety, you need to manage your expectation when visiting. :)

As for dessert, we had kiwis! :D

Day 9: Last Day in Paris

Back in Paris and we are starting our day with a hearty breakfast at HolyBelly 5! :) Lin got us there really early to beat the queue. :)))

Sweet stack - "world famous pancakes" with fruits de saison, creme fouettee, noisettes et sirop  d'erable

Savory stack which they claimed to be of a bit of a legend. :) They are pancakes with fried eggs, bacon, housemade Boubon butter and maple syrup. :D

Love the breakfast at HolyBelly 5. We'll be back real soon! :D

We still have one curry mix with us which we gotta finish to clear off some baggage space. :))) This means we have to make a trip to the market to get some chicken. :D We will check out Marche des Enfant Rouges. :)

Marche des Enfant Rouges is a much smaller market but it has everything we needed to cook a scrumptious dinner. :)

And it has my fav gelato store, Amorino. :)))

And here's my happy buy from the bookstore at the marche. ;) A pictorial book of Parisian Marche. :D

After putting our grocery back in the apartment, we headed to Le Souffle for lunch.

We stopped by Goyard to pick up some stuff first though. :)

Love this window display we saw along the way. :D

Le Souffle was full house when we arrived and we had to wait a little for a table even though we had a reservation.

Every meal in Paris starts with bread/bun...

Savouring all onion soup

Souffle at Le Souffle :)

There are different sauces to complement the souffle. :)

I much prefer steak and fries. :)))

And mommy is pleased with creme brulee :)

Apple pie

And lemon curd souffle :D

We did dinner at home, finally finished our last curry mix. :)

Goyard delivered our loots to the apartment. :)))

We took a stroll to the Eiffel Tower after dinner as it's our last nite here. See you soon Paris, in less than a month. :)
