A Spicy Celebration for 大姨 :)
How do you spice up a birthday celebration? :) We did it at Mai Thai Restaurant...less than 10 mins drive from home. ;)
Big aunty was the b'day gal! :D
The 5 of us savored 10 dishes in total:
Thai Fishcakes and Tom Yum Goong (spicy...)
Green Curry Chicken (my fav), Mai Thai Beef Panaeng and Grilled Pork
Pineapple Rice, Pad Thai
Basil Tofu, Boiled Veg (with dip that rendered Lin & big aunt speechless & mom tearing) and Mango Sticky Rice
Our palettes & lips were exploding by the end of the dinner...
Something chilled & sweet would be greatly appreciated...and we hopped next door to get an Awfully Chocolate cake for Big aunt. ;)
Big aunty has been showering Lin & I with love & support from as young as we can remember. And she dotes on Koka too! Praise God for this blessings. :)
Koka should have kissed the b'day gal instead! :)))

One More Week To A Hearty New Year!
No id what got into me to listen to my sis to make our very own pineapple tarts. I have never tasted pineapple tarts before. We tried making them once with our gf, Wendy last week and Lin decided to do it again yesterday. We made 108 pineapple tarts last night. :) Yummy? I'm not sure...I've never tasted others yet.....
Making the pineapple tart fillings was quite a breeze...we had thought it would be very difficult. :)
Next we made the dough...
Lin didn't want the conventional round shaped tarts. Hence we settled for hearts...A Hearty New Year everyone! :)))
Koka enjoyed her supervisory role. ;)
The final step, baking the tarts. :)

There, our very own pineapple tarts. :) It doesn't really matter if they tasted good or bad. Because I made them, I'll savour every piece. ;)
