A Small B'day Celebration for 2+1 Musketeers

We had a small b'day celebration for 2+1 musketeers this evening at Limoncello. :)

2 (Eric & Piao) + 1 (Daniel Dad who wasn't able to make it).

The company was fabulous! :D Attendance for this evening's dinner:
Eric
Piao
Jasmine
Ann
Andrea
Lin
Moi

I was so occupied catching up with old friends, hence not much pics. :)))

Lin and I had some difficulty getting to Limoncello. We were erm....in fact...lost? Thank goodness Ann spotted a red little beetle and guided us there! :D The search was worth it! Limoncello serves awesome pizzas & pasta. Thumbs up for their beef & calamari too! *.* The cool weather today made our alfresco dining an enjoyable one. :)

We took the opportunity to share with Eric Blume Link's growth. :) He made Blume Link possible by being our first client when our skills were still blah.

As for Piao, he was a harsh on-the job mentor in the dealing room & stressed me out big time. But without him, I wouldn't step out of my comfort zone. :)

Daniel took care of us very well like a dad when we were in Perth. Hence we call him Daniel dad ever since. :)))

Lin & I wish all three guys a blessed b'day. :D

Pretty Edible Door Gift

Lin & her colleagues were invited to the opening ceremony of Orchard Exchange & Forever 21 last evening and she came home with a pretty edible door gift. :) Of course I needed to take some snapshots of it!

It's chocolate muffin with marshmellows. I like how they presented it in a chic plastic cup stand. Pretty pretty pretty...can't bear to eat it! :)))

French Onion Soup with an Asian Twist

Today's lunch is French onion soup with an Asian twist. :) The traditional French onion soup calls for croutons & cheese as toppings, but I used roti prata instead, an idea from Mochachocolata-Rita. ^.*

There's no recipe to speak of, as I simply used a can of Baxter French Onion Soup and frozen roti prata from the supermarket.

Put them in the oven at 200 degree celcius, let the prata rise and it's ready to be eaten! Totally effortless! :)

Btw, there's lots of onions in Baxter French Onion soup! :D

I'm missing Paris.... *.*

Girls Nite Out at Lantern at The Fullerton Bay Hotel

It's ironic we needed an Indonesian friend to suggest a place to chill out in Singapore. :))) His suggestion provided a fabulous girls nite out for the 5 of us. ^.*  We checked out Lantern at The Fullerton Bay Hotel. :)

Once we stepped out of the lift onto the stylish rooftop bar & pool, we were awed by the panaromic view of the Marina Bay waterfrontt. : O Love!

We were fortunate to get a table despite not making any reservation. Yeah!!! :D But we will defintely do so the next time round.

We love Lantern's signature cocktails too. :) Non-alcohol drinkers such as Lin & Pauline are able to enjoy the cocktails as well. They simply requested not to have alcohol  added to them. :)

And here's some inspiration for our rooftop garden in the new house. :)

I took the above pics with Panasonic Lumix LX3 as it's intimidating to bring the elephany one to such places isn't it? : /

Cutesy Breakfast :)

I had something cutesy for brekkie this morning! :) Shawn got us a Hello Kitty sandwich mold some Christmas back and we have never used it. I took it out this morning to try. There's nothing fanciful with the sandwich filling. Just good-o peanut butter with Milo shavings. :)

Like it? Love it? :)

Baked Chicken Soup Macaroni with Sausages & Mozzarella

I'm torn today between having baked macaroni with cheese & chicken soup macaroni. : / What the heck? Just have both! I created this two in one yum and fortunately it turned out pretty good. :)))

Ingredient
A cup of macaroni, cooked per instruction on the packet
2 cheese sausages, sliced
Some shredded mozzarella
1 bowl of chicken stock

Method
Pre-heat oven at 220 degree celcius for 5-10 mins
Butter the ramkin
Line the base with one sausage that has been sliced
Layer with cooked macaroni
Add the chicken stock
Layer with another sliced sausage
Top with mozzarella
Send the above goodness to the oven and bake for 15 mins

Sometimes it's possible to have the best of both worlds. ^.*

Cheesy crown, followed by cheese sausages and macaroni and cheese sausages base and warm chicken soup. This will be a perfect meal for a rainy day huh? :)

Ramen with Gwendel at Kura Ramen

Gwendel raved about Ku Ra's ramen. :) So we checked it out with her this evening. It might be due to a raise in expectation, we weren't exactly awed by it. We tried the white miso ramen. The ramen's springy & the soup is rich. But somehow I think the presentation made the overall ramen average. It could have been better if they have half the egg so that the glorious yolk would give some colour to the otherwise dull looking ramen.

Lin and I ordered the set meal which comes with a drink either ocha or ice lemon tea and a side dish of our choice. We had seafood cubes & gyozas. The seafood cubes were pretty tasty but the gyozas were alright only.

We figured it's not a place we'll frequent.

Eat May Know (食就知)

It's been raining for the last two days. I'm actually enjoying the cool weather, minus the flooding in certain parts of Singapore. Rainy weather makes a perfect day for tea. :)

Mom bought me salted bun (Hum Chin Peng) & butterfly bun from this little stall, Eat May Know.  This name is easy to remember isn't it? :))) Eat and you may know if the buns are good. ^.* We like the buns from this stall because they are freshly made on the spot.

There are two types of hum chin peng. The salted one and the one with red bean fillings. I prefer hum chin peng without any fillings. Beans, be it red or green are out for me. : I

The butterfly bun is coated with seasame and it's a little sweet. It's called butterfly because it's shaped like one.

The snowman tea set brought some fuzzy cheer. :) I chose Twinings Four Red Fruits flavoured tea. The four red fruits are cherry, redcurrant, raspberry & strawberry. :)

Say hello to June's snowman. :D

A Birthday Feast for Yoki

Yvonne invited us to Yoki's b'day feast today. :) Yoki is turning 3! :D He has grown from an ultra shy boy to a little more playful & socialable. Just a little. ^.*

Besides a b'day cake, Yvonne also prepared lots of other yums for the furry friends.

From colourful donuts, to doggy bones, to muffins, to

sheperd's pie! :)

Beckham couldn't resist the treats. :)))

Pinkie was happy with the treats too. :)

As for Koka, she was happy with her muffins & being on the table, a safe height away from Beckham! :)))

Friday Movie Nite with Pauline

How did you spend your Friday nite? We did a movie nite with Pauline. ^.*

For a successful movie nite, we need a good movie, drinks & popcorns. :) We chose The Blind Side. It was directed by John Lee Hancock, starring Sandra Bullock, Tim McGraw & Quinton Aaron. It's such a touching film.

What's movie without popcorns huh??? Lin got us caramel popcorns from Cornery Gourmet Popcorns. We should be happy...

but it's not exactly our cup of tea. : ( It's ultra sweet & flat. :( I missed the regular sweet popcorns from the cinema. Oh oh oh...

Fortunately a good movie makes up for a so so snack. :)
