Day 4: Eating Healthy at Restaurant Asperges

For today's lunch, we are having it at Restaurant Asperges. A Michelin star restaurant, it prides itself with serving diners freshest produce grown from the fields of Biei. :)

The decor of the restaurant is simply clean with full glass window that allows ample natural light to flow through every corner of the establishment. This simplicity is evident in the food Restaurant Asperges serves as well, allowing us to taste the natural flavors of every ingredient.

What we do before every meal...finding every opportunity to "cling" our glasses. :D

Colorful edible works :)

This dish caused so much anticipation and excitement. The waitress brought out a huge Staub pot and was explaining to us in Japanese what it was, keeping the pot closed at all times. (note: our gasp of the language is bare minimum). It must be something really good and we were all anticipating it was some premium beef or seafood. When she opened the cover to present the star dish, we gotta hold in our laughters, not wanting to appear rude. The look on our faces...priceless.

So here we have it...the star dish... :))) Half a cherry tomato and a stalk of broccoli.

Dessert was simple and clean too. :)

This has gotta be the lightest meal of our trip but we were stuffed from laughing. :))) An experience that inked deeply in our memory.

Day 2: Walking Down the Streets of Montmartre :D

After lunch we took the Metro to Montmartre. :) I always like this place, not only because it has a beautiful Sacre-Coeur Cathedral, but it breathes arts and culture. :) Oh and not forgetting quaint shops. ;)

Because it was 3ish pm by the time we got to Monmartre, it's sensible to do tea before checking out Sacre-Coeur.

It was a random pick to have crepes at Creperie Broceliande. This random pick was brilliant. :D

Cream is Beanie's weakness. :)))

The happy parents. :)))

Because I'm boring...so I'm having banana nutella. :)))

Gone are the tea time crowd. :)

See the grand beauty on top of the hill? :)

Because I'm an ice cream addict. :))) I love macarons too, but not today. :D

I love French pastries too but no more eating till dinner... :)))

We took some time to admire the artists in action at the artists square. :)

Walking up and down is no joke. We could have taken this touristy train. There wasn't such trains when Lin and I were here years back. :))) But I guess we see more when we walk and we burn calories too! :D

Dinner this evening is at Seb'on Restaurant. There're alot of good restaurants in Monmartre and we just gotta try at least one of them. :) Reservation is required at Seb'on. They do not entertain walk-ins. It's understandable given that it's a really small place. A couple walked in and were turned away.
