New Year Meal (开年饭)!

It's our family tradition to dine together on the 1st day of new year, either a luncheon or dinner. ^.^ As we had Faith's 1st month celebration to attend, we did dinner instead. ;) We took mom & dad to Imperial Treasure Steamboat Restaurant for hotpot! :D

Lin & I were thrilled Imperial Treasure Steamboat Restaurant serves Hong Kong style hotpot! We do hotpot dinner in HK everytime we visit the place. Now we can enjoy similiar HK style hotpot in Singapore too! :D

We need to create our own dip from an assortment of codiments. :)

What's hotpot without marbled beef & kurobuta pork slices? ^.*

We love the fresh shrimps & especially the deep fried fish skin. Just dip the deep fried fish skin in the hotpot, let it absorb some soupy goodness and yummmmmm.... :)

The assortment of handmade shrimp, cuttlefish, meat & fish balls ooze freshness & are very Q.

Our choice of dumplings are shrimp wontons, shrimp dumplings & chive dumplings (unfortunately they were sold out  :~ ( ) Oh well, we'll have better luck the next time. ;)

Of course we did have some healthier options. :) Tofu, Tianjin cabbage, winter melon & daikon. :D

We had some noodie (Xisi Fen & Tung Fen) to complete our meal. :)

What a great way to start our new year!
