Day 2: Slowly Discovering Hakone... :)

It's gonna be a day of mini adventure for Lin & I. But we barely started and I was already looking for restrooms! Lol :))) Spotted a stand alone McDonald and checked into its bathroom. This was a brilliant stop becos we discovered McDonald's bacon and potato pie! :D If only we have this is Singapore too. 

Holiday is about eating, playing, sleeping, repeat. So here we are at Unagi Tomoei, a Michelin Star restaurant. ;)

It's so good on its own, other sauces are not required. :)

The rain was so persistent, we needed brollies.....At the tax free store to get umbrellas. Lol :)))

This trip, we rented our car from Nippon-Rent-A-Car. :) I prefer them over Toyota-Rent-A-Car because they have a greater selection of cute cars. :))) We reserved a Honda N-box but was given a Daihatsu Tanto. I was pretty happy about it and would be happier if it wasn't red....I spotted pastel yellow and brown ones on the road....I want those...:)

Lake Ashi looked kinda lonely in this rainy weather... *.*

Bakery & Table is just a stone thrown away from Lake Ashi. :)

If someone can explain to us why this cafe only serves toast, pastries and beverages indoor and ice cream is only available for takeout. Outdoor is it for us! :)))

We checked in earlier into Hakone Ashinoko Hanaori because the Hakone Ropeway service has been suspended due to increased concentrations of volcanic gas...

And our room with a supposedly mountain view....turns out to be facing the carpark and Lin was really upset about it. *.*

We could have go to the onsen, but we slept our afternoon away. :)))

Ending our nite with my army inspired soft serve! Lol! :))) Goodnite peeps...we're crawling to bed zzz
