Day 8: Living in a Storybook

A little takeaway this morning. :) A bright new day, another chapter of our trip in Amsterdam. :D

We are gonna do breakfast at Winkel 43. :)

Winkel 43 is popular for its apple pie. :) But I'm not an apple pie person... :D

As for me, I'm satisfied with a ham and cheese toast. :)))

And Beanie is happy eating air. :)))

We took a short stroll to Amsterdam Central Station after breakfast. This morning, we are gonna check out windmills at Zaans Schans. ;)

The sight that awaits us after an hour journey... *.*

Couldn't help shopping for more cheese. :)))

And DIYing our own choc drink. :D

We are not into clogs... :D 

Clogs are not my type of souvenirs. One, I can't think of any friend who likes them, second, they are too bulky and weight quite a bit to bring home. :)))

By the time we got back to Amsterdam, it was close to 2pm. We were on a pancake hunt. :D

We got distracted by shops and all things cute. :)))

Poffertjes with butter and sugar

Indonesian pancake filled with chicken, onions, mushrooms and leek, drizzled with Indonesian peanut sauce and served on a bed of beansprouts , crispy onions, prawn crackers and green salad. :D

Too stuffed for more sweets after this. I would have gotten these miffy chocs if they were dark chocs though. :)))

Why didn't I get a mouse?

When you see a a pretty flower shop, you gotta stop and admire....

Savoring the last few hours we have in Amsterdam :) The last two days were like living off a storybook. *.*

As for our ride back to Paris, note to self - to bring our own dinner instead. :)))
