Day 4: Chessy Hotpot at Haruchan Sushi (春ちゃん寿司)

Another wet night for us in Hokkaido. Well, this makes it a perfect day to have cheesy hotpot at Haruchan Sushi. :)))

It wasn't as cheesy as we imagined. :D

We thought we would be able to call it a nite....but...
a little pebble caught somehow latched onto our wheel, resulting in loud cranking sound..we waited for more than 2 hours for help to come. The anxiety and finally relief made the four of us hungry again and we ended up at McDonald's! :))) We need food to calm our nerves. :D

Day 7: Capturing Bits of Old Chengdu

In all honesty, I cannot remember many places we visited in China. Too many sights and too many stories...This afternoon we visit Wuhou Temple, a shrine dedicated to Zhuge Liang from the Three Kingdoms period.

Wuhou Temple covers 37,000 square meters.

To the east of Wuhou Temple lies Jinli Ancient Street. Food stalls and shops lined the street. Of course we snacked a bit. :)

Not far away from Wuhou Temple is Qin Shan Zhai (钦善斋). It's famed its for non spicy medicinal hotpot and duck. :)

This Chengdu trip seems incomplete if we miss the traditional performance of changing faces, fire spitting & Chinese opera...

Our tickets entitled us to snacks, tea, massage/ear picking (to my amusement). :))) What we found lacking in this whole performance is translation. We would have appreciate the whole thing alot more if we are able to understand the stories and all.

We still had time to grab a Haagen Dazs after the performance. I thought Haagen Dazs would have closed by the time we headed back. That in itself was sweet. :)
