Elaine's Visit = A Week of Nom Nom Nom :)

Elaine was in town for training in the week of 19 Aug. :) As it was her maiden trip to Singapore, we listed a number of To-Eats here. :D Dinners were late as we could only catch up after office hours.

1st stop: Crabby feast at Melben Seafood

Hello chilli crabs :)

Black pepper crab, butter crab & crab bee hoon soup. :)

2nd stop: Lunch at Lin's office :)

Thanks to Elaine, we finally stepped into Gardens by the Bay. :)

All we wanted to do was to check out the Skywalk, a 128m long walkway, 22m high and connecting two Supertrees at the Supertree Grove.

The height was too much for Lin and she went down in less than 5 mins. :))) Duh...

Elaine and I were busy clicking our cameras away. :D

We were waiting for nightfall... :)

Singapore in the evening :)

Lights up. :)

Nite... :)

From the foot of the Super Trees :)

3rd top: Chicken rice delight at Boon Tong Kee

The signature Imperial Chicken :)

4th stop: Punggol Nasi Lemak

One of our fav local food is nasi lemak. :)

5th stop: Song Heng Fishballs Noodles

It was a Sat & Elaine had a full day with us. :D

Because she had yet to try local breakfasts, we took her to our fav fishball noodles stall in the wet market.

6th stop: Coffee, tea and toast at Toast Box

7th stop: Garden Street Kway Chap & Fried Carrot Cake

While waiting for the famous Garden Street's kway chap, I ordered a plate of fried carrot cake for Elaine to try. It's two stalls away from the Garden Street Kway Chap.

The fried carrot cake became her new love. :)

Elaine was to stuffed to try kway chap by then :)))

8th stop: Sunday breakfast at Ya Kun

Quick bite before Elaine's flight home to Taipei :)

After a week of non-stop eating...we had to go easy on our meals for at least a week. *.*

Summer Guests :) - Part 2

And our summer gatherings continue with Alecia visiting us after her summer camp with the Canadian International School in Singapore. Mary and her enjoyed homemade pizza and donuts. Once we started on the donuts, we couldn't stop. *.* Gwendel dropped by too. :)

Looking forward to having them with us soon. But I figured we might visit them in Shanghai first? :)

Grace & family were relocating to the UK for a year and we did a sleep over at our nest on Hari Raya holiday. :)

Koka couldn't take her eyes off Faith's Care Bear...Charlotte, Shawn, Grace and us had to take turns keeping watch over Koka and the kids...it was rather exhausting cos the dog was too persistent....

Singapore celebrated her 48th birthday and we had Ann, Emmanuel & family and Andrea and her mom over for a celebration luncheon. ;)

Ethan was thrilled with his new playmate. I couldn't say so for Koka though. :))))

Anyway the adults enjoyed local delights of laksa, kueh pie tee and braised pork belly, buns & eggs. :D

Mom's church care cell friends came over for fellowship & the pastor blessed our house. :)

Catering by Kigi. :)

We hosted Lin's ex-colleagues from ESCF for dinner. Perhaps they hadn't met up for a really long while, they chatted till past mid-night. :)))

Brenda, Rose, Rosella, Linda & Esther came over for a Nasi Lemak nite. :)

The only baby got all the attention! :)

Our bossy camera gal doing her work. :))) Too cute!

Through her eyes... Woo hoo... :)

It's another chatting, gossiping, laughing & feasting packed month! :D

Summer Guests :) - Part 1

This summer, we were busy hosting important guests at our new residence. ;) Loved ones & friends who will help us create beautiful moments in our humble nest.

Godson came to play... :)

and to savour homemade dumplings. :)

Gwendel, Sharon & cousin Fanny hopped over for steaming hotpot. With air-condition switched on, the summer heat didn't really matter anymore. :)

Maternal grandmom, aunts, uncles, cousins, nieces & nephews were treated to a buffet spread. :) Our clan is big huh? :))) Oh and our neighbours from our other residence. :D

Caterer: Raseal

We had Sheau Wen & Ling Lee over for DIY sushi making session. :D The sashimi were obviously bought while the messy stuff were done by us. :)

Our DIY session was completed with sake, sweet & juicy lychees from Taiwan and durians.

Happy guests & happy hosts. :)

For our other gfs & their families, we did a little French. ;) Crepes from Saybons! We love having freshly made crepes straight out from the crepe station. :D

Caterer: Saybons

Mom prepared chicken wings, Pauline brought durian puffs and Serena baked some really mean brownies which disappeared very quickly...

Casual gathering for fabulous friends :D

Some with their babies. :)

It's a blessing to have church friends over for fellowship. We did bible study over afternoon tea, followed by a Korean BBQ. :)

This summer, we also welcomed Crystal & Alan who flew in from San Francisco for a 20 hour visit. *.* Too short!

We tried to stuff them with as much local delicacies as we could. :)))

On top of their crazy itinerary, Crystal & Alan had to help us with decorating a church wedding. ;)

We are looking forward to hosting more loved ones & friends in August! :D
