Day 2: Catching the Sunrise & Canola Fields at Jin Ji Ling (金鸡岭/Golden Rooster Summit)

This morning, we got up at 5.30am to go to Jin Jing Ling (金鸡岭/Golden Rooster Summit). Lingyi Temple (灵仪寺) at Jin Jing Ling offers a perfect platform for capturing sunrise and canola fields.

We set off from the hotel in the wee hours of the morning and Ann was still in dreamland... :)))

As it was pitch dark, I'm unable to show you the way up. I'll feature our descend instead when the sun is up and everything is much clearer. Basically it's one way up & one way down. :)

The climb up in darkness & cold was worth it, when the following greeted us...

Many photographers were there early to reserve the best spot for capturing the sunrise. *.* We were a just a little late...

Waiting...

Good morning folks! :D

And we just went click click click click click click.... :)))

There were some who climbed onto the roof of the temple. :)

The pros...

Lin's a perfect nanny! She's forever on the lookout for us. :)))

It's brighter now and we could see the canola fields more clearly. :)

While the other photographers continued snapping away...

we took five! :D Picnic time! :D Lin packed pandan cake, coffee & hot chocolate for us. :)

Time to descend. :)

We needed to go through the temple to ascend or descend Jin Ji Ling.

The ticketing booth. The entrance fee is RMB 10 per person. :)

Here's the ticketing lady. :)

We were greeted with gorgeous canola field at the foot of the hill. :)

Awesome yellow & blue! :D What a splendid Monday morning! :D

Watch out for our next destination. ;)
