A Flavourful National Day Celebration :)

Happy Birthday Singapore! :D We organized a mini flavourful celebration at home & everyone came in red &/or white! ^.*

A sneak at what was served: Laksa, one of the favorite local fare. :) Loving it! :)

We weren't sure if satays are sold in the day. Hence we bought the raw ones from a neighbourhood market the nite before. We just placed them in the oven & they are ready to be eaten. Awesome! :) We can enjoy satays any time of the day! :D

Serena & Francis bought tau kwa poks (grilled beancurd with stuffings). These tau kwa poks had braised egg, cucumber & crispy bits in them. Thumbs up! :D

Pauline & NC got us Old Chang Kee curry puffs & Tina got us durian puffs! Puff, puff... :D

We got Kit Kat & Coke because of their red & white packaging. The colours are super apt for National Day! :) Moreover Edwin needed his coke fix! :))) 

Wendy & Edwin bought Magnum to further sweeten our National Day luncheon! :)

I'm multi-tasking; blogging & catching the National Day Parade on TV. It reminded me of how far we have come as a nation. We're truly blessed to call Singapore home. :)
