Housecooling "Party" ;)

Wendy & Edwin're moving out of their lovely nest & so we had some sort of housecooling "party". :) Their home is almost in boxes. Hence we did dinner at Whampoa Keng Fishhead Steamboat, which was within walking distance. :)

We aren't good with eating fishheads & dealing with bones. Sadly, the place doesn't serve grouper slices & we settled for badan slices (I'm not a fan of badan fish). Thank goodness, it wasn't that bad. :) The soup was flavourful with taro strips, sour plums, cabbages, dried fish bits etc. :).

The street side tofu wins hands down. It's light & healthy. We just gotta have steamed rice to go with it. :) Just a bowl of steamed rice for 4 ladies please...

Lin suggested trying the pork ribs (排骨王). Ooo, they're so tender. The pork ribs have been deep fried as there're certain parts that were a little crispy. :)

We ordered san lau hor fun (三捞河粉) to satisfy Tina's craving. The fish slices were fresh & the beansprouts & chives gave the rice noodle extra crunch. :)

Whampoa Keng's lime juice comes with plum...we gave ours to Tina. :D

I'm not sure about the rest of them, but I much prefer the other dishes to the steamboat. :)

Dessert was durian at Combat but it wasn't fantastic because we are nearing the end of the durian season. So I'm not gonna talk about it. *.*

The highlight of the nite was PACKING. :D There're lots of stuff yet to be packed. What a great way to exercise away our dinner! ^.* And Wendy & Edwin are now cleared of 7 boxes of what's not.
