A Steaming Dinner at Hai Di Lao

The core activities for the month of April has been overseeing the renovation of our new home, cleaning up the new home, moving things to the new home, packing, packing & more packing. *.* Hence we jumped at the idea to do steamboat dinner at Hai Di Lao with Ad & cousin.

This hotpot chain from China is very popular. To ease the waiting pain (despite having a reservation), the restaurant provides snacks, fruits and even complimentary manicure for patrons. :)

Ordering is made easier with the touch of an iPad. :)

The signature chicken soup base was incredibly flavorful while the tomato soup just whets your appetite. :)

Create your own dips to your heart desire! :)

Chicken & beef chuncks and beef tripes

Ocean catch of the day! Thank you fishermen! :)))

Shrimp paste stuff & balls

Dumplings & tofu

Assortment of vegs & mushrooms

Sit back and be teased & awed by the handmade noodle performance. :) These plain looking flat noodles are Q and go well with the tomato soup.

Black soya bean milk. We can't get any healthier eh? :) I like it bland but Lin needed sugar...Cousin passed this totally...

I'm pleased tonite's dinner and so is Lin. :)
