大年初一!(First Day of Lunar New Year!)

新春快乐,主爱永偕!As usual we are celebrating the first day of the lunar new year at Grandma's place. Despite being an old house, it has its charms. :) It has been our mom's, aunts, uncles, ours and now our nephews and nieces' playground. :)

Uncle Francis' Hai Tang Hua is blooming gorgeously this spring. :)

We didn't managed to get our annual pics of our cousins in the garden this year due to:

1) the rain
2) Yahui, her parents and Big aunty are in Taiwan
3) Grace has been hospitalized since Chinese New Year's Eve for dengue

It's a wet wet new year. During the short interim, we managed to get some snapshots of mom, dad, Koka (who's feeling blue due to the rain and lack of nap), Lin & myself. :)

Oh and we managed to harvest rambutans during the short respite from the rain!

Surely our cars were in good hands...Second uncle did the plucking while Justin tried to catch the red hairy fruits as they fall!

Bountiful harvest this year. :) We can possibly use them for mandarin oranges exchanges instead. ;)

Lin & I bought a cute merigue snake from Da Paolo. :D Aunt Peggy has the honour of posing with it as she's borned in the year of the snake! :D

Another round of loi heiing. :D

We ended our first day of the lunar new year with a movie at the theater. It's an annual affair. :D We came out sleepy...the movie "The Grandmasters" was wayyyy too slow... *.*
