Day 2: Forget About Fats and Calories at Isen Honten ;)

Disregarding it being fatty & calorie infested, Tonkatsu is one of my favorite Japanese food. :)

Isen Honten 井泉本店 started in 1930, serving extremely tender pork cutlet that can be cut with chopsticks! It is also the birthplace of tonkatsu sandwiches. :)

We've no issue with queuing. :)))

Chefs busy satisfying the hungry us. :)))

Thankful for English menu & friendly waitress. :)

May I present to you Isen Honten's tonkatsu sandwiches! Soft on the outside, crispy & juicy on the inside. :)

Rosu Katsu, Isen Honten's 80 years signature pork cutlet. This is indeed one mean slab of succulent goodness. :)))

We also ordered Yawaraka Tonkatsu, a super tender version of the already tender Rosu Katsu. :)

The heaps of shredded cabbage is to ease greasiness. I had none of it, preferring to have my tonkatsu with Gohan (rice) instead. :))) Say hello to another layer of tyre. :)))

Happy tummies & ready for an afternoon at Meguro River. :)
