Day 7: No Bambi at Nara Park

One of my fav childhood bedtime stories was Bambi. Our old helper Susan used to read the story to me everyday. :))) My idea of any deer will be that of Bambi...docile, mild & friendly. If I had visited Nara Park when I was a kid, I think Bambi wouldn't be on my fav list. :)))

Less than 5 mins at Nara Park, a deer nudged mom from the back and "stole" her carrier containing our bottle of Lipton ice lemon tea and my handphone. We were too stunned to react or take any pic of mom's shocked expression. :))) The uncle selling the crackers for feeding the hungry deers helped us retrieved our bag. The bottle of ice lemon tea was dented but my handphone was spared. Funny and scary at the same time. :)))

We continued exploring Nara Park with trepidation. :)))
Sorry ah...but I can't see any gentleness in those eyes. *.*

We were supposed to feed the deers. But...we let the tiger in the family do his job! :))) Lin's expression says it all...hahahaha.. :)))

Oh dear...we are not liking you... :)

Perhaps we should look up at these beauties instead. :)

Deer watching from a distance is a good idea. :)

Bye bye deer. We are off to explore other parts of Nara Park. :)

I wonder if we are having venison for lunch? :))) Nah...there is a really good Unagi bento restaurant at Nara Park and we just gotta try. :)

Edogawa Naramachi is recommended by TripAdvisor. :)

We were too early. :))) Just gotta hang around abit. ;)

Lockers for shoes. :)

Yeah! We got a table without queuing. Good to be early. :)))

We were given these slippers. :)

It's alright to indulge once in a blue moon. These braised pork simply melt in our mouths. The wasabi mustard gave it an extra kick. :)))

The three of us have the same Unagi bento set. :)

Beanie's bento :)

And the final bit...a little sad...

And...the last item we ate in Osaka...sorbet. :))) Heading back to Tokyo in a bit. :)
