Doing hotpot is a must for all our Shanghai trips. :) After all this city is addicted to it & so are we! We checked out Laowang Hotpot this evening. :)
Laowang is famed for its peppery pork soup. We were served a bowl each before all other ingredients were added in. The first bowl of soup contains all the essence (a reverse from the usual hotpot where the soup just gets better as more ingredients are added in).
What we had in our hotpot:
Various cuts of beef :)

Seafood paste
Assorted fresh veg :)
Enoki mushrooms
Beancurd sheets
Claypot rice :)
Tina was going into la la land anytime soon. zzzzzz..... :)
There's nothing mind blowing about Laowang Hotpot, but well, at least we tried. :)
