Dim Sum Dollies

Lin, "our youngest sis", Angie, and I hosted a dim sum party for our primary school gfs at our place last Sat. :) Imperial Treasure Teochew Restaurant doesn't do dim sum during the lunar new year period. Hence we got takeouts from Crystal Jade Kitchen instead.

Can't wait for the guests to arrive. :D That's our pretty front door.

Our basket of oranges waiting to be swaped. :)

We tried to cater to everyone's taste palatte. ;)

The only home cooked item was mom's century egg porridge. It was a sold out! :D We had more than 2 helpings each. :) Oh and our gf, Serena, made a mean brownie, which I didn't take any photos of. It was consumed before I could snap anything of it. Lol :)))

It was a nice lunar new year catch-up. :) The overall takeout experience however was average. The egg custard buns were supposed to be a hot selling item at Crystal Jade but they were disappointing. The scallop cheong fun has few scallops, almost unnoticeable. Having said so, I figured it's still better than serving our guests frozen dim sums from the supermarkets. :)
