Buffet Dinner at The Line

Due to some miscommunication, we ended doing buffet dinner at The Line for Mom's b'day. Buffet, unfortunately is not our cup of tea! : / We weren't awed by the food but was captivated by the gorgeous orchids display at Shangri-La's lobby. : D I heart orchids!















Here's what I've gotten from the buffet table:

Fresh & sweet prawns and crabs. :) There're oysters for those who love them. Not for me & Lin though...




























Some Japanese selection...No sashimi for me either. :)))




























Pasta with mushroom sauce & cheese (pretty yum), pizza & sirloin steak (it was too "raw" for me; I only had a bite)




























Naan with chicken & lamb sides, as well as chicken & beef satays, drizzled with peanut sauce. Hm...these can't go wrong.




























The pic doesn't do the laksa justification. The gravy's quite rich with coconut, the shrimp was succulent & the fishball & fish cake were fresh. Having said that, we still prefer Conrad's laksa. Missing it already as I'm writing this post. *.*




























Any room for dessert? Well not really. Lin & I only managed to down two scoops of ice cream (chocolate & green tea with crushed peanuts & oreo bits toppings) each. They're irresistable! Lol! :)))















We shall not have any buffet in the near future! A-la-carte menu suits us much better. ^.*
