Hangzhou Specialities at Shang Palace 香宫

Prior to watching Impression on West Lake, Lin and I did dinner at Shang Palace. It's located just across the performance's venue. :) We wanna try a few more Hangzhou specialities. ^.*

Shang Palace serves very good, melt-in-your-mouth Dongpo pork. A health conscious moi left out all the fat (mom said that's supposed to be the best part!) :))) We ordered begger's chicken too. There was a mild lotus leaves after-taste. Lin & I didn't take a fancy to it as we found the flavour of the sauce a little strong. : I The pork noodle with preserved veg was quite comforting for the tummies especially on a chilly nite. :)

There was a sense of satisfaction! :))) We were pleased we managed to try a number of popular local dishes within our ultra short Hangzhou trip. :)
