Supper at Newton Circus

April's a month of visiting by friends from HK! :) We received our first guest, Ivy this evening. She suggested doing dinner (which turned into supper) at Newton Circus. It's a great place to enjoy local fare if you've limited time in Singapore. ^.*

It's amazing how much we 3 ladies can eat! Lol! :))) So here we go:

Popiah - the fillings are made of shredded turnip, beansprouts & crispy bits (which we really like as it gives the wrap added crunch).

Savory fried carrot cake - it's Ivy's 1st attempt of this soft, melt-in-your mouth delicacy. :) One of my top fav local fare! The main ingredients of this yum are flour, shredded radish, eggs & preserved turnip.

We tried to be "healthy" by having Kang Kong with belachan? But the way it's being cooked, seriously how healthy can this dish be? :)))

Ivy only takes boneless fish, so this stingray suits her palatte to a T. :)

And Ivy loves black pepper crabs. She loves the lingering aroma of black pepper & butter on her fingers after eating them. ^.*

The other local fare we had were chicken & beef satays with peanut sauce and bbq chicken wings.

The lime gives the chicken wings a refreshing twist! :)

Our supper ended at 11pm last nite! Lol! :))) I'm relieved there isn't a spike in my weight this morning!!!
