Day 1: A Much Needed Dinner - Raumen Yokocho

We didn't do much on day 1 of our summer vacation, other than being on the plane or road. :) It was a relief to be able to check into the hotel, Mercure Sapparo and putting down our baggages. *.*

Mercure is a 3 star hotel, but because it's new, everything seems good. ;) The rooms are huge for Japanese standard. :)

We headed out for dinner in less than 30 mins after checking in. :))) We needed fooooood.... :D Where did we go? Raumen Yokocho (Ramen Alley) of course. Hokkaido is famous for ramen. ;)

There are a number of ramen shops and after walking up and down the alley about 3-4 times, we decided to just enter any. :))) Sometimes too much choice is not really good. :D

The shops were tiny, but cosy. Especially more so when dinning with family & close friends. :) We like it!

We love kani ramen. Don't you? :) Look at these fleshy crab claws & succulent scallops. :D

Beanie had char siew ramen. :)

Tina had butter corn ramen and Yahui had Hakodate (ramen with scallops) . :)

:) We were recharged and ready to go again!
