Day 6: Yasaka Shrine

Everyone felt better after a fabulous lunch! :) Without further delay, we proceeded to Yasaksa Shrine (also known as Gion Shrine), just across Izuju. Yasaka Shrine is a Shinto Shrine. Initial construction of the shrine began in 656! :O

As in all Japanese Shrines, there are areas for devotees to pen their wishes.

The stage is decorated with lanterns bearing the names of sponsors, mostly businesses. These lanterns are lit during the night. :)

Again, we took cover after being outdoor for less than 20 mins! Lol! :)))
