Day 5: Hello Osaka

It was evening by the time we arrived at Kansai International Airport. We had 12 pieces of luggages in total. Should we take the train? But it was after office hours...After checking and negotiating with the taxi driver, we decided to take to cab instead. :) We paid JPY 35,000 - JPY 38,000 for a round trip.

We checked into Arietta Hotel. The hotel was featured in the Kyoto Osaka Michelin Guide 2010 as one of the top places to stay in Osaka. :)

By the time we checked in and ready for dinner, most restuarants were closed. Fortunately there was a resturant, Xi Chuan, about 10 mins walk from the hotel that was still opened.

There wasn't any English menu. The staff wasn't able to speak English as well. So we had to run in and out of the restuarant, pointing out to the chef what we wanted. ;)

We tried Osaka's local dishes such as yakisoba, omusoba & okonomiyaki. ^.^ They were fab.

The happy faces said it all. :)

By the time we finished dinner and headed back to the hotel, Xueyi was at the doorstep too! ^.* Such perfect timing. She joined us for the Kyoto & Osaka leg.
