Day 6: Saba-Zushi at Izuju

We needed some energy booster before we could proceed any further. *.* Lin took us to Izuju for Saba-zushi. :) Izuju is a tiny & quaint shop, rich in history. ^.^ It's located just across Yasaka Shrine.

Izuju is famous for its saba-zushi or mackeral sushi. Saba-zushi are blocks of rice wrapped with mackeral. Izuju also serves blocks of rice wrapped with simmered kombu (kelp).

Beanie who's most afraid of dentist, befriend one while lunching at Izuju. Lol! :))) Dr Suzuki from Kyoto Hospital. ^.^ He's such a friendly uncle.

We gave Izuju a thumbs up! :D Love the ambience, love the food. ;)
